The mission of the Provident Foundation is to preserve the living legacy of Provident Hospital and Training School and the contributions of Dr. Daniel Hale Williams, by assisting students from underserved communities in accomplishing their educational goals by providing scholarships, mentorship, and other forms of support needed to successfully pursue careers as doctors, nurses and other health care professionals.
